The Software Behind Success and Stories

January 23, 2026 by RCC

propane has always been about people

At RCC, we spend a lot of time talking about software. Systems. Screens. Processes. And while those things matter, they’ve never been the whole story.

Because behind every delivery, every dispatch decision, every late night during peak season, there’s a person. A team. A story.

That’s why our focus this year is “The software behind success and stories.”

More than technology

Propane is an industry built on people. Family businesses passed down through generations. Employees who know their customers by name. Drivers who show up when the weather doesn’t cooperate and the hours get long. Office teams who keep everything moving behind the scenes so the work gets done safely and reliably.

The technology may support the work, but it’s the people who make it meaningful.

Why stories matter

When we talk about stories, we’re not talking about highlight reels or polished case studies. We’re talking about the real moments. The challenges you’ve worked through. The wins you’re proud of. The lessons you didn’t expect to learn. The relationships that keep you coming back every day.

Stories matter because they remind us we’re not alone in this work. They create connection in an industry that spans towns, states, and regions, but often faces the same pressures and priorities. Sharing experiences helps all of us learn, adapt, and grow, not just as businesses, but as people.

Stories we hear every day at RCC

At RCC, we’re fortunate to hear these stories every day. On support calls. At seminars. In webinars. In quick conversations that start with a technical question and turn into something much more human.

Those moments shape how we build our software, how we support our customers, and how we think about the future of the propane industry.

Sharing stories makes propane sexy

This year, we want to do a better job of telling those stories. Not just ours, but yours.

Throughout the year, you’ll see us sharing stories from across the propane industry. Stories of growth and grit. Of leadership and learning. Of small wins that made a big difference. Because success isn’t just measured in numbers or features. It’s measured in people feeling supported, confident, and connected. And that’s what makes propane sexy!

If you have a story you’re proud of, or even one that simply feels real, we hope you’ll share it. Sometimes the stories we think are ordinary end up being the ones that resonate the most.

After all, the best technology doesn’t replace people. It supports them. And the best stories remind us why the work matters in the first place.

Here’s to the software behind the success and the stories still being written.
