If RCC’s technical infrastructure were a symphony, Ben Carlson would be the conductor. As the senior member of our tech team, Ben has probably touched every aspect of your system at some point. When newer team members hit a wall with a complex issue, they turn to Ben. When we’re implementing new security measures to protect your data, Ben’s leading the charge.
“I’m involved in nearly all technical aspects of RCC’s FDS, MOGO, cloud, and in-house infrastructures,” Ben explains, though he makes it sound far simpler than it is. The truth is, while you’re focused on running your business, Ben’s making sure your data is backed up, your systems are secure, and everything is running smoothly. He’s the reason you can sleep soundly knowing your business data is safe in the cloud, protected by multiple layers of security including SentinelOne, Alert Logic, and ESET antivirus.
Jeremy Reynolds
Technical Solutions Analyst
Around the office, everyone just calls him “Reynolds” to help us keep the Jeremys straight. There’s a good chance you’ve worked with him without even knowing it. As a Technology Solutions Analyst, Reynolds has a unique gift: he speaks both “tech” and “human.”
Remember that time you called in because your print server was acting up? Or when you needed help understanding how to get your team set up in the cloud? That detailed documentation that actually made sense? That was probably Reynolds. He specializes in Linux operating systems (which power those rock-solid print servers you rely on), but his real superpower is taking complex technical concepts and making them accessible to everyone.
“My areas of expertise include Linux operating systems, print server configuration, software and process testing, technical documentation, cloud onboarding, and training,” Reynolds notes. But what he’s really saying is: “I make sure the technology works for you, not the other way around.”
Jeremy Fifield
Technical Support
Every MOGO tablet that arrives at your door has Jeremy Fifield’s fingerprints on it…literally. Jeremy is the guy who makes sure that when you hand a tablet to your driver, it’s not just a piece of hardware, but a fully configured, tested, and ready-to-roll tool that will work flawlessly in the field.
But Jeremy’s work goes far beyond MOGO tablets. When you’re transitioning to the cloud, he’s there making sure every step goes smoothly. When you need a new print server configured and shipped, Jeremy ensures it arrives ready to plug in and print. He handles everything from FDS installations to processing RMA returns when equipment needs servicing.
“I help our customers and staff with their technical needs,” Jeremy says simply. What he doesn’t mention is how he remembers individual customers’ specific setups, or how he’ll often configure equipment with little custom touches that make your particular workflow just a bit smoother.
Justin Braegelman 
Director of IT
As Director of IT and 18 years at RCC, Justin has not just witnessed the evolution of fuel software—he’s been one of the driving forces behind it.
“I’ve had the chance to work on just about every part of the business,” Justin reflects, and he’s not exaggerating. From his early days working with customer-hosted FDS environments to helping architect RCC’s move to the cloud, Justin has been there for every major technological leap your business has taken. He’s built applications to eliminate repetitive tasks, supported legacy systems when you needed them, and now leads the tech team’s projects that keep RCC on the cutting edge.
What makes Justin special is his ability to see the big picture while never losing sight of the details. When COVID pushed everyone into remote work, Justin didn’t just find a temporary fix, he helped create a permanent solution that now allows RCC staff to support you from anywhere.
“I enjoy being right in the middle of making that transition easier for everyone,” he says, and it shows. Whether it’s ensuring your VPN connection to RCC’s cloud is rock-solid, or adapting to how communication has evolved from phone calls to emails, texts, and collaboration tools, Justin makes sure the technology serves you, not the other way around.
