Propane Drivers: From Grumble to Game Changer
Tex Propane uses RCC’s Fuel Distribution System (FDS) and many additional FDS modules. Wendy pointed out, “We use AP, AR, PR, GL, ecommerce & MOGO. All of our business is run within the RCC system. It keeps track of everything we do. Ecommerce makes it easier for customers to order online & even pay online.” When Tex Propane added MOGO (Mobile On-the-go) tablets to the hands of their propane drivers, they could access customer information on the fly (even without wifi), but there was a learning curve at first. Wendy remembers, “When we added MOGO it was a game-changer! My propane drivers grumbled at first, but now they can’t live without it… Anything new is hard, but working with RCC they made the transition as easy as possible…I still am learning little tricks in the system to make things easier.”

Social Distancing, Remote Working & COVID
With all the extra challenges that businesses today are going through with COVID restrictions and safety precautions, Tex Propane has also had to make changes. But they have found that what they already had in place with RCC set the foundation for efficient remote working and social distancing. Wendy explained, “MOGO has helped our drivers with social distancing. They can have me email delivery tickets and can honestly never come to the office if necessary. They could work from home, make deliveries, then sync their work to my office for the day.” RCC software has not only made transactions easier and safer for the drivers but also the customers, “If our offices were closed, customers could still pay online and I could log into the cloud from home…We like to have contact with our customers, but it would be completely possible to work from home if it had to be done.”

Support Team Above the Rest
Wendy and the team at Tex Propane agree that the RCC system and modules were fairly easy to learn. But, when the time comes that Tex Propane needs support for their fuel and propane software, they know that the RCC support team has them covered. Of course, I have my favorites, but all are great!”

Whenever possible, the RCC team can make customizations to make the propane software specific to the customer’s needs. They have been able to optimize the software for Tex Propane. Wendy remarked, “They have made my life so much easier. Honestly, RCC has made it so easy that I didn’t have to hire another person to help in my office, and that was great news, as good employees are hard to find these days.”
