It has been a busy summer of traveling for Freddie and the crew, from expos to board meetings, and everything in between. Toward the end of September, Holly and Freddie headed for Scottsdale, Arizona to attend the National Propane and Gas Association (NPGA) Board of Directors meeting. Additionally, you can head over to this blog post to learn more about RCC’s longstanding relationship with the NPGA.
What’s the Buzz?
Freddie and Holly got the pleasure of sitting in on some meetings with fabulous presenters, as well as working with some great people at the event. Holly is on the PAC Steering Committee. Freddie is on the Women in Propane Council and the Conventions Committee. Understandably, a significant amount of time was spent planning and gearing up for the 75th annual Southeastern Expo in Nashville next year.
Further, the keynote speaker, Kathleen Quinn Votaw, spoke about a topic that is highly applicable in the current employment market. She addressed concerns around keeping employees happy in your workplace and retaining them within your business. RCC works hard to maintain employee satisfaction, and we pride ourselves on having some fantastic staff members!
Exciting Extras
There was a lot of chatter and excitement around the WIP Podcast that Freddie and Bridget Kidd are co-hosting. It was fun to hear everyone talking about it and the anticipation for the launch. You can check out the podcast Through the Leadership Lens, and listen to the first two episodes posted.
Also, RCC would like to introduce the Women in Propane Co-Chair of Programs and Events. Our very own, Jessica Sheehan-Balderston has been elected as a committee leader in this aspect of the council. We believe that she will bring great representation and collaboration to this committee.
Our next meeting with the NPGA Board of Directors will be in January, in New Orleans. Stay tuned for more updates and news!
