Summer is usually dubbed a slower time for the fuel industry, however here at RCC, it becomes our busiest time of the year. Summer is when we work on converting over new customers, help our customers with additional training or install new modules, and upgrade our existing customers to new versions of FDS. Currently, we offer two versions for customers to choose from when deciding to upgrade. Our Classic version offers the end-user the familiarity of previous versions with enhanced features. FDS V10, our newest version has the same great functionality as our Classic version but with a new user-friendly interface, additional program developments along with our full accounting suite, CRM, customer hub, imaging, customer check-list, and much, much more.
58 Customers Upgraded this Summer!
During the summer of 2020 alone, we upgraded a total of 58 companies. Of that, 20 upgraded from v8.06- v9.05 to Classic, and 38 companies took the leap to v10. If you are one of the companies that upgraded this summer we here at RCC want to thank you for allowing us to continue to provide reliable and innovative products to serve your company’s needs.
If you are a company that has not yet made the change and are wondering ‘Where to start?’ I would encourage you to read more about these three areas.
Fuel Software Upgrade to V10 – Where to Start
- FDS System Requirements: Get an overview of the minimum system requirements needed to operate our different versions both on your server and/or workstation(s).
- FDS Compatibility Check: This .exe file can be found under the “Support” dropdown menu. Here you can verify whether your hardware meets these standards. You will be asked to download to your machine, this will run a program to gather the operating system info to compare back to our ‘FDS System Requirements’. The check will need to be run on every workstation and server that would be using RCC.
- Request Version Upgrade Form: If you find that you have met the requirements, you can fill out the online ‘RCC Version Upgrades Request’ form. Our upgrade team will then reach out to schedule an upgrade date that is convenient for your company.
If your company doesn’t have the hardware requirements needed to operate our software, don’t fret! RCC offers Cloud Hosting as a great option for companies that don’t wish to update their office hardware. If you would like more information on how to verify your hardware or are interested in RCC Cloud Hosting please feel free to reach out to your favorite fuel support person or contact us online.
Fuel Support – Quick Tip
Have you ever typed the wrong password when logging in to RCC? Do you like to use your keyboard rather than your mouse to navigate between fields? Do you hit the backspace button to clear your previous text entry?
If you answered yes to any of the questions, boy do I have a shortcut key for you.
Ctrl + A alternatively known as Control A, is a shortcut key used to select all of the text in a field. Enter the wrong password? Hit the enter key to remove the message, tab from the username field to the password field, enter the keyboard combination Ctrl A, and retype your password.
