Employee:
Sue (Susie) Peterson
Position:
Support Manager/Owner
My first job was:
Watching the office in my Dad’s LP Gas business.
Finish this bumper
sticker:
I’d rather be—
a little less busy.
Looking back on myself
as a child, I know I was destined for this career because:
I
grew up in the gas business. I used the RCC program in my own small department
store business for many years before joining RCC. I enjoy working with
people. All of that has come in very handy when working at RCC.
The thing about my job
that challenges me is:
It is a VERY different job every single day. I never know what my day will
bring, so that’s a really challenge for someone like me who likes to plan out
their day. I love the way it challenges my mind each day.
When I’m zoned out in
front of my computer and should be thinking about work, what I’m really thinking
is:
I don’t generally zone out, I really enjoy my work, so no time or need to
daydream.
My career defining
moment:
I was shoveling 3 feet of snow at my business place with no place to put the
snow. I thought there has to be a better career than one that entails me
maintaining an older building for the 18 years I had already done it.
My most unusual job
was:
Owning my own retail store.
The only time I
deserved to be fired was:
I’ve
been self employed most of my life (pretty safe from firing that way!!)
The most recent book,
CD or movie I’ve purchased is:
Celtic Woman
My favorite quote or
saying:
You can’t put grown up heads on kids shoulders (I have a 15 yr old at home)
How would you describe
your job to a four year old?
I try to figure out what went wrong for a customer and how to make it better so
it doesn’t happen again.
